For the 2026–2027 academic year, the University of A Coruña has set three admission rounds:

  • The early round: 5 February to 30 April 2026.
  • The standard round: 11 June to 13 July 2026.
  • The late round: 24 August to 6 September 2026.

Entry requirements

For this Master’s degree, the following priorities have been established regarding students’ prior qualifications:

  • Computer Science, Engineering
  • Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Mathematics and Health Sciences

Applicants with other qualifications may also be admitted following an assessment of their CV by the Selection Committee.

The Selection Committee will assess student admissions based on the following criteria:

  • Academic record: maximum 5 points.
  • Entry qualification: maximum 2 points for Computer Science degrees and 1 point for all others (Biology, Chemistry and Physics, Mathematics and Health Sciences).
  • Work experience: maximum 2 points
  • Other merits: English (B2: 0.07 points; C1: 0.15 points; C2: 0.3 points), courses in the field of bioinformatics, other master’s degrees, or other merits related to the master’s programme: maximum 1 point

*It is important that each merit is duly substantiated; otherwise, it will not be taken into account.
